Double Page Spread Progress 3

Since my last post I've added in two text boxes with extracted quotes from my article. I placed them in before my article so I'm able to adjust where to put them once I check space, but that is where I'd prefer them to be.

I've now added the main image of the article to the pages, I used the same process to edit out the model as I did on the cover and contents page. to place the image I added a frame to InDesign placed in the image and fitted the image to the frame proportionally.

 

I've also added page numbers to the bottom corners of the page with the headings of BANG! Music and Interviews which once again is similar to Billboard.

I've now moved onto designing my double page spread. I've used 1001 fonts to download the same style font that I've used on the cover and subtitles on the contents page. I went into Photoshop and changed the colour of the title to match the backgrounds on both the cover and contents page to create and carry out a house style.

I've then added an introduction to the article and added information such as interview and photography by, which is similar to my magazine inspiration, Billboard.

I've now added on the Saturdays images to my contents page and adjusted the font slightly to move it off of the edge to ensure it isn't cut off wen printed and converted to a jpeg.

This is the original image I took when at the concert:

 

To save space on Photoshop I've cropped off the sides of the stage to make sure that the image focuses on The Saturdays when on the steps.

 

 

I then slightly increased the curves of the image to make it brighter to ensure that the image was clear and noticeable on the contents page.

Since the last post I've added in the reviews and extras story titles. I've noticed that at the bottom of the page there is a lot of left over space in which I'd like to add photos from concerts I've attended. as the reviews section involves The Saturdays, I'll add in images from their tour.

Since my last post I've added in the interviews and news storylines and slightly moved the subtitles to make sure that it isn't cramped together. I'll now add in the rest of the storylines for reviews and extras.

Since my last post I've now added subtitles of what content I'd like in my magazine. I've also left space to fill with the content.

Since my last page I've added further information including the top 10 singles and albums on the day according to BBC Radio One and Billboard Magazine. I took two album images off of Google Images from the top ten lists.
