Photos I've Taken of Tilly

Below are a few examples of the photos that I have took of Tilly.

I have selected a few of the photos in which I have created a SlideShare discussing the positives and negatives of each image, why I used the image or why I didn't.

EasyJet Plane Progress

As I took an image of an EasyJet plane from google I was advised by my teacher to contact the exam board in able to check whether I was able to use the images, I was told that I could use the image of I met the requirements of the image being less than 10% of the page and showing the editing process. I have included the editing process below as well as a copy of the email from the exam board.

Page 2: Progress 7

Since my last post I've now added the image for my cover, i took the image against a red wall this is to symbolise the X Factor as the logo is red. the image doesn't fit into the frame that I set out on the page, for this reason I will need to change my article slightly to make sure that the article fits the page and the image.

Radio Advert: Progress 3

Since my last post I've now deleted Amy from the final radio advert. I've also added a fade to the begining of the advert and also at the end. I also re-recorded Natasha as I noticed that she was too quiet.

Below is a SoundCloud for my radio advert:

Research: Local Newspaper Industry

Looking on the website Skyscraper City, I researched the local newspaper industry and came across two articles describing the issues that are currently facing the industry today. whether it be because of the increase in interest of Online news or the monopoly effect of national newspapers becoming more local specific.

I've screenshot the two articles I was looking at and attached them below:

Radio Advert Progress 1

I've now started to work on my radio advert. Using a USB microphone I recorded the voices of 2 males and 2 females into audacity. From there I have used Garageband to edit each of the tracks I recorded, for example I have changed the volume. I have also added the backing track Fight For This Love by Cheryl.

Below is a sound cloud that shows the progress:

Radio Advert - Music Decision

Even though my target audience is older and the song choice wasn't what was chosen by them I believe it is best that I chose a song that would attract a younger audience. it is known that many Newspapers are going out of business because younger readers are using on-line features a lot more and or that reason it will be best to attract them using the radio advert. For that reason I have chosen the song Fight for This Love by Cheryl, this way the advert still has a Geordie feel about it and will still attract that younger audience.

Radio Advert - Questionnaire

Radio Advert: Song Choice

As I want to keep a local theme to the advert, I've decided that the song I'll use for the background will be Newcastle related whether it be sang by a Geordie singer or about Newcastle.

Using Google and YouTube I've found the following songs that I will use on a questionnaire in which my target audience will then get to decide what song does feature.

Below are the three songs that will feature on the questionnaire.

Busker - Coming Home Newcastle:

Lindisfarne - Fog On The Tyne:

Cheryl - Fight For This Love:
